Use text controls to make a slide readable and give headings and body text a consistent style. Edit the wording and document structure in Google Docs; use SlideAdmin to adjust the presentation appearance.
Select and style text
- Select the text block in the slide preview.
- Check whether the menu targets a presentation title, slide heading, subtitle, card heading, card body, or other text.
- Choose the font family and maximum font size.
- Adjust color and formatting, such as bold or italic, where available.
- Review alignment, line spacing, and paragraph spacing.
Understand autofit
The maximum font size is an upper limit. Autofit can reduce the rendered size when the text does not fit the available space. Increasing the maximum therefore may not enlarge a dense block.
If text becomes too small, shorten the wording, reduce the number of cards, split the slide, or adjust available space. Check the result at presentation size rather than relying on a small thumbnail.
Keep similar text consistent
Use the apply action beside an individual setting when you want to copy just the font, color, or spacing. Use Apply All only when you intend to copy the wider set of text settings. Read the scope confirmation before applying.
If a text block ignores the style you expect from a theme, check for a contextual customization and use the relevant reset action if appropriate.
